Allows you to quieten and relax your mind. It uses techniques to promote healing, connect your mind, body and spirit; release limitations; focus on goals; and find inner peace and tranquillity.

BACKGROUND
The word meditation is used to describe a number of different uses of the mind, from contemplation, concentration to devotion. The word itself probably derives from the same root as Latin mederi – to heal, and meditation can certainly be looked on as a healing process – emotionally, mentally and physically. The simplest definition of meditation is “the right use of the mind or positive thinking”.
Most forms of meditation employ 2 main practices: a) concentration exercises, often using an object such as a flower or candle, creative visualisation and b) the repetition of a mantra. (a mantra is a sacred phase, word, sound, which is repeated constantly either aloud, silently or in thoughts only. It literally means, ‘man’- mind and ‘tra’ – to free, so that which frees the mind)

A TYPICAL SESSION
In our meditation groups we mainly use creative visualisation which is the technique of using your imagination to create what you want in your life. There is nothing at all new or unusual about creative visualisation. You are already using it every day. It is your natural power of imagination, the basic creative energy of the universe which you use constantly, whether you are aware of it or not.
Because we often have a deep-seated negative concept about life, we automatically and unconsciously expect and imagine lack, limitation, difficulties and problems to be in our life. To one degree or another, this is what we create for ourselves.

Guided meditation or creative visualisation is about learning to use your natural creative imagination in a more conscious way, a technique to create what you truly want.
